That’s right baby, we’re spinnin’ the entire on-fire catalog from New York’s funk standard, Truth & Soul Records. The Orchard has acquired the pioneering label’s 45+ releases and will distribute it digitally and physically worldwide.
Truth & Soul is built on the backs of soul veterans Jeff Silverman and Leon Michels, a duo that collaborated on tracks by high-profile artists such as Aloe Blacc, Adele and Amy Winehouse as Truth & Soul Productions. Silverman & Michels took to Brooklyn to launch Truth & Soul Records with the goal of pushing modern funk music forward. The label brought its dream to fruition with critically acclaimed releases from staples such as Lee Fields, Lady Wray and more.
