The American Music Awards, or the AMAs, are the world’s largest fan-voted awards shows and this year marks the 47th annual event. The nominations were revealed and there’s a month to go before winners are determined. But wait, how are the winners determined? The fans, of course! They hold all the control. Isn’t that cool?
The nominees are based off of the fan interactions reflected in Billboard Magazine and Billboard.com, including radio airplay and social activity. These awards will be presented to the artist that reigns most popular in their category. Some of these categories include Collaboration of the Year, Favorite Music Video, and the esteemed Artist of the Year.
BTS was nominated for Favorite Duo or Group, along with two other nominations, Ozuna nominated for Favorite Latin Artist, and our homecoming queen, i.e. Kelsea Ballerini, nominated for Favorite Female Artist – Country.
