It’s the dog days of summer and although it feels like your annual trip to Texas just happened, SXSW is already hard at work shaping their 2018 conference. One of the first signs that Austin is on the horizon is the opening of SXSW’s Panelpicker polls and ladies and gentleman, as of this week, the polls are open!
Panelpicker gives festival-goers the opportunity to be the change they want to see in South By’s programming line up. You can cast your vote for any number of the 5,000+ panels on the ballot, including a few exciting submissions from The Orchard. Here’s what we’re bringing to the table this year.
Vying for your vote is a music marketing panel from The Orchard called Drinking Data: Principles of Human Based Marketing. Featuring our own Director of Digital Advertising Aaron Ford as well as Jenni Sperandeo of Dangerbird Records, Jenna Noelle of Facebook and Marni Wandner of Sneak Attack Media, Drinking Data will show you how to take the data you’ve spent so much time collecting and turn it in to something useful. Numbers can be misleading and understanding which metrics to put your faith into is a make or break process. These promo pros will show you what is good.
That’s not all! Be sure to give a thumbs up to Gender and Music, a panel put forth by Instant Records that features The Orchard’s founder and legendary songwriter Richard Gottehrer. Also, give a nod to Do it Yourself or Do it Right: Outsourcing Tech with a slew of impressive panelists, including The Orchard’s Nikoo Sadr.
That’s all for now, give us your vote and we’ll see you in Austin!
