This year’s A2IM Libera Awards winners are now revealed! The awards took place on June 10th at Gotham Hall in New York City. Congratulations to The Orchard’s distributed labels and partners on 3 wins!
Caroline Polachek gained 2 wins in the Self-Released Record of the Year and Best Alternative Rock Record categories for her album Desire, I Want To Turn Into You. It’s “an album to get comfortably lost in, knowing there will always be some familiar motif that pops up to reorient you. It’s Caroline’s island, and we’re just walking circles around its wild and wonderful perimeter,” says Pitchfork.
Samia (Grand Jury Music) won Best Pop Record for her album Honey. The record was produced by Caleb Wright, part of the team that worked on Samia’s breakthrough 2020 debut, The Baby. Samia calls Honey “a real community record.”
